This is a well-written textbook for a first course in computer networking for CS students. This is the second time I get to read the text for a graduate course. You may not able to pass the Cisco CCNP ROUTE, TSHOOT, or SWITCH exam after this but this book does teach you the fundamentals of computer networking. Warning: Be prepared to do a lot of reading. Each chapter (with the exception of a few) is rather long, usually takes me two to four sittings to read though it. Using the Wireshark is a nice touch. Recommended!
