Today, I want to talk about my journey towards achieving Cisco's CCNA certification. This certification is the most well-known networking certification out there, and I believe that it is a great path to take for anyone looking to establish a career in IT. My interest in networking began when I was in school, and I started learning about the CCNA. However, I never finished the course, and my interest in networking has been dormant for a while.
Now, I am ready to reignite my passion for networking and pursue the CCNA certification. I have decided to take an accelerated CCENT course from IT Pro TV. This course will cover all the fundamentals of the CCENT, including the OSI model, subnetting, VLANs, and more. I believe that this course will help me to refresh my knowledge and give me a solid foundation to build upon.
After completing the CCENT course, I plan to move on to the CCNA courses offered by IT Pro TV. I will be looking to see how well I perform on the CCNA courses and if I feel confident enough, I will go ahead and take the CCNA exam. I understand that the CCNA exam is not an easy one, but I am willing to put in the time and effort required to succeed.
My ultimate goal is not just to achieve the CCNA certification, but to use it as a stepping stone towards a career in security. Security is an area of IT that I am very passionate about, and I believe that the CCNA certification will be an excellent foundation for me to build upon.
I understand that this journey will not be an easy one, but I am committed to it. I plan to wake up early every day and study for a few hours before starting my workday. I will also be labbing every day, as my good buddy Duan would say. I believe that this consistent effort and dedication will help me to achieve my goals.
As I mentioned earlier, my ultimate goal is to become a cybersecurity professional, particularly in the area of SIP. However, I understand that to get there, I need to have a strong foundation in networking. Networking is a crucial component of any IT infrastructure, and without a solid understanding of it, I would not be able to effectively evaluate the security of an entire enterprise.
That's why I've been dedicating myself to learning as much as I can about networking. I've been following experts in the field like Duan Lightfoot, who is fantastic and has been a great source of information and inspiration for me. I've also been reading a lot of articles from the Network Beard over at CBT Nuggets, who has a wealth of knowledge on the subject.
But it's not just about following experts and reading articles. To truly master networking, I believe it's essential to get hands-on experience. That's why I'm starting with the CCENT and working my way towards the CCNA. I'm excited about the journey ahead, and I plan to share my experiences and insights along the way.
If you're interested in networking and cybersecurity, I encourage you to join me on this journey. Together, we can learn and grow and work towards our goals. Thank you for reading, and I look forward to connecting with you soon.
